Can AI tell who you are?
We check whether your brand resolves to one known company, or gets mixed up with other names.
What it checks
The full rubric. No black box.
Is there an item that lists your site as its official website?
Other companies or products with your exact name.
Does your homepage say it’s the official home of the brand?
Links from your schema to Wikidata, LinkedIn, Crunchbase and X.
A sameAs link that points at a Wikidata item that doesn’t exist.
How it works
Add your brand if it differs from the domain.
Wikidata by website, then by name, then your schema.
Each failed check comes with the fix.
Questions about the Entity Check
Will this raise my citations?
Not on its own. It makes sure engines know which company you are. Growth Memo found entity-heavy pages weren’t cited more.
Do I need a Wikipedia article?
No. Most companies don’t qualify. Wikidata and consistent profiles do the job.
Why does it flag a name clash?
If another company shares your name, engines can mix you up. Pair your name with your category in titles and schema.
