Exodus lost 68% of its Google traffic in three months.
01
The traffic Exodus lost
exodus.com fell from about 91,500 Google visits a month in July to 29,500 in October. Trust Wallet rose from 45,900 to 79,600.
The steepest drop came in August. None of the four competitors fell the same month.
Every month since October 2025
- The highest month in the past year was December 2025, about 184,600 visits. It held near 104,500 in May 2026, then fell 72% to October.
- The number of searches exodus.com ranks for fell from about 15,600 in December 2025 to about 1,500 in October 2026.
- Trust Wallet also dipped in the first half of 2026. It recovered from July on.
02
Links it already earned
15,137 sites link to exodus.com. Atomic Wallet has 8,330 and still gets more Google traffic.
Sites linking
Google visits a month
Phantom has fewer linking sites than Exodus and about four times the traffic.
Links pointing at dead pages
47 broken pages on exodus.com still have 100 live links from 63 other sites. Each one should redirect to its closest live page.
03
Pages one step from page one
171 searches rank 11 to 20 on 9 exodus.com pages with almost no internal links. They add up to about 136,080 searches a month.
All five rank with exodus.com/staking-crypto. One page on the site links to it.
The other page-two pages
- The audit found the 171 page-two searches spread across 9 pages, including /staking-crypto, /investors and the homepage.
- /staking-crypto ranks between #4 and #20 for at least 15 staking searches.
- The fix is internal links from related pages, so each of the 9 has more than one link pointing to it.

What AI says about Exodus
AI engines know the name. None of the answers we checked recommended Exodus.
ChatGPT named Exodus once, for "crypto wallet app", and cited exodus.com in none. Gemini and Claude weren't checked.
Cited pages our crawler couldn't read
AI answers cited 4 exodus.com pages 7 times. Each returned a 403 error to our crawler. That may be bot protection. If AI crawlers get the same response, engines can't re-read the pages they cite.
Questions where Exodus was missing
- Google AI Overviews left Exodus out on cold wallets for cryptocurrency, buying crypto with a credit card, crypto digital wallet and where to buy crypto.
- Perplexity's answers cited other wallet, exchange and media sites on most of the 20 questions.
05
The template Trust Wallet is winning with
Trust Wallet runs one price page per coin. That template gained about 15,000 Google visits a month.
One page design, repeated for each coin. Trust Wallet's /price/bitcoin already ranks #16 for "bitcoins current price", 90,500 searches a month.
Exodus had at least one. exodus.com/ethereum-price is one of the 47 broken pages other sites still link to.
06
The 90-day plan
Problem and fix
We'd find which pages lost the most and fix those first.
We'd link to the 9 pages and rework /staking-crypto.
We'd build a price page template, one page per coin Exodus supports.
Day 90: we rerun the same traffic pull and AI questions.
07
Method and sources
An Intrica audit run on Sept. 29, 2026 and DataForSEO data pulled Oct. 20, 2026. US Google throughout.
Details
- DataForSEO, US Google, Oct. 20, 2026: traffic history for exodus.com and four competitors, linking sites, ranked searches and rising pages.
- Competitors: trustwallet.com, metamask.io, atomicwallet.io and phantom.com.
- Visits are DataForSEO's traffic estimates. Monthly history and the current snapshot differ slightly, so October reads 29,500 in one and 29,100 in the other.
- AI answers collected Sept. 29, 2026 on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. One run per prompt, no location applied, each engine reported separately.
- Site crawl, page-two and broken-link checks from the same Sept. 29 audit.
- Exodus isn't an Intrica client. Everything here comes from public data.
